Shri Ram Navami

Shri Ram Navami is a significant Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, marking the triumph of dharma (righteousness) and the ideal human. Celebrated on the ninth day of the Chaitra month (March-April) in the Hindu calendar, devotees fast, perform pujas (worship) with images of Rama, read the Ramayana, and stage Ramlila plays, especially in Ayodhya, his birthplace, with symbolic weddings (Kalyanotsavam) also held.
